The Mausoleum of the first Qin Emperor is most famous for its life-size terracotta soldiers, but it also the site of other precious relics, including a number of chariots and metal weapons. One of the most prized discoveries is a bronze horse-drawn chariot, which is the largest bronze ware ever found in the world.
The tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang was built in the center of the structure, which was designed to mirror the urban plan of Xian. The Mausoleum, along with the Terracotta Army, was enlisted as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987. To this day, the tomb of the first emperor remains unopened.
