Day 1  USA-Tokyo

Depart Los Angeles International Airport onboard and enjoy the trans-pacific flight to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.

Day 2  Arrival Tokyo Accommodation: Okura Hotel East 21 Tokyo or similar

Arrive in Tokyo where you will be greeted by our friendly ground crew and guided to our coach bus or the airport shuttle bus to transfer to the hotel.

Day 3  Tokyo (B) Accommodation: Okura Hotel East 21 Tokyo or similar

After breakfast our half-day Tokyo City Tour begins with a visit to the Imperial Palace Plaza -the current residence of Japan’s Imperial Family. The tour will proceed to Asakusa district where the most famous Buddhist temple Senso-ji is located. Walk along the famous 820-feet long Nakamise shopping street that is the front entrance to the Senso-ji Temple where stalls selling different Japanese-styled goods and souvenirs are lined up for you to explore. Nothing else can capture the epitome of an upscale area in Tokyo better than the next locale – the Ginza district – where numerous department stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffeehouses are located. Reputed to be the most luxurious shopping districts in the world, it is here that you can be awed by the flagship stores of leading fashion houses and brands before the bus transport return to hotel end of the city tour. You may choose to stay and wander in the Ginza district, then return to hotel with our second bus pick up in the early evening. This evening, option to experience Japanese tradition & cuisine by enjoying a Japanese Kaiseki Dinner. Kaiseki is a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner which balances the taste, texture, appearance, and colors of food. Only fresh seasonal ingredients are used and are prepared in ways that aim to enhance their flavor. Dishes are also beautifully arranged and garnished.

Day 4  Tokyo - Mount Fuji - Lake Kawaguchi (B,D) Accommodation: Tominoko Hotel or similar

Start your early breakfast at hotel before we depart for the road trip to visit Japan’s most sacred and most spectacular mountain – Mount Fuji. Your English-speaking guide will provide you with interesting insights along the way and pending weather permitting conditions, the bus will climb to the 5th station at 7,550 feet above sea level. After the awesome view atop Mount Fuji, enjoy the bird’s eye view of the nearby Odawara and Lake Ashi scenic region via the aerial tram Hakone Ropeway (Due to the Mt. Fuji volcanic eruption risk, Hakone Ropeway has been closed for precautionary purposes until further notice. For 5/21 departures and onward - we will take the Komagadake Ropeway instead). Enjoy the picturesque view of Mount Fuji in the distance on board a cruise on Lake Ashi, a crater lake famous for its views of the famous peak. Lunch will be on your own along one of the many rest stops or service areas on the highways where you can enjoy an abundance of unique eats and snacks that will surprise you. Dinner will be arranged and hosted at the hotel. Admissions Included: Hakone Ropeway, and Lake Ashi Cruise.

Day 5  Mount Fuji Area - Kyoto (B) Accommodation: New Miyako Hotel or similar

Depart the Mount Fuji scenic area after breakfast and proceed with the coach trip to Kyoto. The coach will arrive in Kyoto for an afternoon city tour. The tour will stop at one of the unique UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kyoto, the Nijo Castle – once a residence of the Tokugawa Shoguns and a home to the Imperial Court. The tour will also visit the most popular building in Japan, Kinkaku-ji or the Golden Pavilion which is also a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will also see the Kiyomizu Temple or “Clear Water Temple” located on the eastern part of Kyoto that was founded in 778 and re-constructed in 1633 without the use of a single nail. Tour ends with the check-in at hotel to rest for the day. Lunch will be on your own along one of the many rest stops or service areas on the highways where you can enjoy some local shopping and an abundance of unique eats and snacks. Admissions Included: Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion), and Kiyomizu Temple

Day 6  Kyoto (B) Accommodation: New Miyako Hotel or similar

This will be a free day at leisure in Kyoto, either to venture out on your own or to take the full-day optional tour to Nara and Osaka.

Optional Tour : Nara and Osaka Excursion with lunch  ( $80 ) Japan Culture / Gion Corner Entertainment and Dinner  ( $99 )

Day 7  Kyoto -Tokyo (B) Accommodation: Okura Hotel East 21 Tokyo or similar

After breakfast at hotel, the group will take the bus ahead to Tokyo via the TOMEI Expressway. Lunch will be on your own along one of the many rest stops or service areas on the highways where you can enjoy some local shopping and an abundance of unique eats and snacks. *Travelers opted in for the Bullet Train back to Tokyo will have more free time to do some last minute shopping in Kyoto until the train's afternoon departure.

Day 8  Tokyo - USA (B)

After breakfast, either spend rest of the free time at leisure before departure or join optional tour to visit the famous Tsukiji Fish Market. Tsukiji fish market is the biggest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world and also one of the largest wholesale food markets of any kind. The market is located in Tsukiji in central Tokyo, and is a major attraction for visitors. This morning, we take the transfer to the Tsukiji Market, browse the vast collection of assorted seafood as well as meat products, and get an authentic local experience. In the afternoon, your courteous ground crew will meet everyone and assist in boarding the transfer coach bus to Narita International Airport. Enjoy your trans-pacific flight back home.
